Our Process
All potential clients begin the process with a free initial consultation where we get to know each other and see if we would be a good fit working together. After both of us determine that we may be a good fit for your needs, we can begin the formal process of working together. You will receive intake forms and consent agreements that outline important information about our work together.
The first 1-4 sessions are part of the orientation and intake assessment phase where we will begin building a strong therapeutic foundation together. Your first meetings with a therapist will involve an intake assessment, where we will take time to learn more about you, your background, your reasons for seeking counseling, and your goals. Once we have completed the orientation and assessment phase, we will collaborate with you to create a plan for your sessions, outlining areas of focus, how we can best support you in achieving your goals.
What To Expect
Your individual psychotherapy sessions will be a sacred space focused on helping you break through barriers and create the lasting change you want.
In therapy, you can talk about anything that is affecting your ability to live a fulfilling life and we will collaborate and set an agenda to focus on what is most relevant to your goals in each session.
You will be taught practical skills and new behaviors that are tailored to your specific goals, helping you navigate challenges and make positive changes in your life. To reinforce your progress, clients are assigned homework and practices between sessions. These practical exercises are designed to help you apply what you’ve learned and integrate it into your daily life, ensuring lasting change and growth.

Like other relationships, people can experience ruptures, disconnections, and misalignment in the therapeutic relationship and journey. Your therapist will regularly invited you to share feedback, and if there have been any challenges, ruptures, or anything in our work together has not felt quite right, we welcome the opportunity to address or repair any issues so your experience in therapy feels fulfilling.
